		<abstract>This paper describes the development of a computerized system which analyses the contour of the human cornea. Illuminated rings are projected on the subject and the reflected image is captured by an acquisition board installed in a micro-computer. This image is processed by means of consistent algorithms based on computer vision, optical geometry and oftalmology principles and as a result, color-coded maps are generated. By analyzing these maps one can easily diagnose classical ammetropies such as astigmatism and keratoconus and also identify normal, close to spherical, corneas.</abstract>
